Install and Upgrade

Before you begin

Check if you have JIRA Administrator Permissions. They are necessary to install plugin.

Installing Plugin

  1. Log into your JIRA instance as a JIRA Administartor.
  2. Open admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace. The Manage add-ons screen loads.

    You can use keyboard shortcut: click g two times and start typing manage... Then select Manage Add-ons.

  3. Click Find new add-ons from the left-hand side of the page.
  4. Locate  Plugin via search.
    The appropriate add-on version appears in the search results.
  5. Click Try free to begin a new trial or Buy now to purchase a license for Selected plugin. 
    You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Search Linked Issues for JIRA begins to download.
  6. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.
  7. Click Apply license.
    If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your JIRA instance.

Updating Plugin

Free upgrade is available for users with a valid Search Linked Issues license.

To upgrade Search Linked Issues:

  1. Log into your JIRA instance as a JIRA Administartor.
  2. Open admin drop-down and choose Atlassian Marketplace and the Manage add-ons screen loads.

    You can use keyboard shortcut: click g two times and start typing manage... Then select Manage Add-ons.

  3. Find plugin in a list of your installed add-ons and click the Update button that is displayed if an update is available.

    You can select Action required option on the Manage add-ons page to get a list of all available updates on your instance.

Disabling/Uninstalling plugin

  1. Log into your JIRA instance as a JIRA Administartor.
  2. Choose the cog icon  at top right of the screen, then choose Add-ons and the left-hand side of the page select Manage add-ons.

    You can use keyboard shortcut: click g two times and start typing manage... Then select Manage Add-ons.

  3. Expand plugin in the User-installed Add-ons.
  4. Click the Disable/Uninstall button.
